The footrest has been beneath my feet this past week. Hours of power-squatting in the garden have lead to a nice case of sciatica (the one nerve I had left that someone wasn’t on). After a week of suffering and a quick trip to the chiropractor, I felt good enough to get back to tending the garden.
Beneath my feet in the garden, I found a wonderful harvest of ever-bearing strawberries. All the plants are coming along great. The June-bearing plants have sent out tons of runners, which has tripled the amount of plants now growing. The ever-bearing strawberries have been producing extremely well for the past two weeks and show no signs of slowing down.
There’s nothing like the taste of a fresh strawberry. Or the relief of sciatic nerve pain.
Beautiful photos. Makes me want to reach in and grab one and take a bite. Gardens are a lot of work but in the end well worth the time and effort. Nice place to meditate too!! Enjoy:)

I like to hide in between the tomato plants!

When I had my very large garden I spent hours sitting in the midst of the tomatoes weeding. Loved spending hours in the garden, grabbing a tomato and biting into it fresh from the vine. Nothing like it!

I so sympathize! I had a trip to the chiropractor too, after forking compost and trimming ivy. (and no strawberries to relieve me!)

It will soon be time to dig potatoes – will probably be making another chiropractor appointment!
