While my garden grows like gangbusters, I’ve always had a little bit of a not-so-green thumb when it comes to summer flowers.
I’ve spent years amending my garden soil so my plants flourish – my window boxes, umm, not so much. If I get around to it, I’ll dump in a fresh bag of potting soil. Some years, I may not even do that. Instead, I’ll hammer away at last year’s petrified soil and soak it with water until it’s usable.
That is why I love, love, LUH-OVE petunias. As long as you water them, they’re just about indestructible. This summer, I stumbled upon the Pink Lemonade Petunia and it instantly became my favorite petunia EVER, because of all the wonderful shades of pinks and yellows in one variety.
