I’ve been sidelined with a nasty sinus infection since New Year’s Eve. Yesterday, I finally got a little spring back into my step and was able to do some grocery shopping and run a few errands. However, that was enough to exhaust my entire body. Achy and tired, I thought I’d take a nice soak in an Epsom salt bath and relax in peace and quiet.
I figured before I took the bath, I’d give the whirlpool tub a quick cleaning since the jets haven’t been used in a while. I proceeded like I always do… putting two drops of dish liquid and one cup of bleach into the water and turning on the jets for five minutes to flush everything.
I ran downstairs and grabbed a towel and my pajamas, quickly rummaged around for a magazine to read while I was soaking, poured myself an ice cold glass of water, trotted back up the stairs and into the bathroom, and… YEAH.
I spent the next twenty minutes battling bubbles, cursing under my breath and trying to hold back a flood of tears. Let me just say, there’s no easy way to corral bubbles. It’s like trying to nail jello to a wall. I never did get that relaxing bath.
